So it's a New Year. Fuckin' A.
I'm just going to say it: last year sucked. I didn't realize it sucked until it was nearly done, but then all the suckage hit me like a ton of bricks. I'll get into the details of why it sucked at some later point, but here's a quick run down:
- Got fired from my first job in Korea for asking for things they are legally required to provide me. Like health insurance. And a pension.
- Had to find a new job in 30 days. Found one. Moved across the country. It wasn't the right job. Left that job.
- Had to find a new job in 60 days. Found one. Moved a couple hours south.
Every time you start a new job, you have to sign a new 1-year contract. When I first moved to this country it was for a year. Now, provided I complete this contract and move home immediately afterwards, I'll have been here for nearly two years.
I miss a lot of things over here. I'm upset with a lot of other things. I am getting friends, and beginning to have fun on the weekends, but I haven't been working nearly as hard on my photography. This will change.
My New Year's promise to myself is to have AT LEAST one post EVERY WEEK with new pictures and stories for your pleasure. If I don't, I'm going to come up with some punishment. If you have any ideas, leave them in a comment below!
Here's to a grand New Year, and everything turning out better than expected.
